I'd like to thank Greg (sicneill) for arranging a tee time for me, today, on my birthday.

I had a blast! The course is in fantastic condition despite problems with the 5th and 13th greens earlier in the year.
I played the course from the tips......7215 yds, and tough!

I am very pleased with my score of 83. After recent lessons with CQ, I'm working on weakening my grip, increasing shoulder elevation in the backswing and improving move 3. So, as you can imagine, putting a score together on a course I've never played before was difficult!

I took some video of my swing on the range at Lake Nona.
My clubface is still shut at the top and I'm still crossing the line with my Driver.

Only the first 40 secs of the video needed. It was my 1st attempt with my new Casio EX-FC150 and I haven't cropped the video.....sorry!

spuddy-

I just now saw your post. Glad you enjoyed yourself and sorry I couldn't join you.

Yes, it is tough from the tips, particularly since you get very little roll on Central Florida golf courses in the summer...  Unhappy

The greens are vastly improved; a new greenskeeper is earning his pay. We're hosting the USGA Senior Am next week. I'll be interested to see what the old guys shoot.

Greg
I may go for it or I may not. It all depends on what I elect to do on my backswing.

Thanks Greg!
I really enjoyed my round at Lake Nona. I hit my Drive within 5 yds of the 'Fred Couple plaque' but didn't have a 2 iron in the bag to attempt an albatross!

That was actually my last round of golf for 3 months. I had my personal golf lessons with Chuck Quinton and have worked hard on making the necessary swing changes.
I'm now at a stage where I'm happy with my backswing and now working on the arms dominated downswing. I've found it quite difficult as I've always been a 'hip spinner'!
I played only my 2nd round of golf since June, last week at Royal Birkdale. I played really well in a 40mph wind.

Keep in touch Greg. Hopefully, we can get together for another round at Lake Nona in a year or so!
