Well, this is not really about ball position per say - I just didn't want to put the word "lies" on the subject line as I haven't had much luck with this forum thing and didn't want to start another intersting thread.
Chuck, is there a video somewhere where you address how to hit when the ball is above, below, left foot above, left foot below - like in undulating fairways and steep hills?  I do beautifully with the swing you've taught me via this site - people come up to me all the time and compliment it.  But when I go out there and the ball is just slightly not even with my feet then sometimes I have a problem - especially when the ball is above my feet.  I know you are supposed to match your body (hips - shoulders) to the hill when the either the left foot is above or below the ball on a steep hill and I do that decent enough now to get out of the situation.  Also distribute the weight to the foot that is on the lower part of the steep hill.  But when the ball is below or above my feet I make a mess out of the swing - hitting it fat most of the time when the ball is above my feet and thin when the ball is below.
Any tips?
Thanks,
Happy Holidays to you and your family.

P.S  Keep in mind I've only got 1 golf season under my belt - new golfer here.
