jdagolf, Josh is working on keeping his wrist neutral going back. The wrist has a very slight amount of cupping once you take your grip and we want to maintain that going back which allows ample wrist mobility for the wrist cock and keeps the club in line with the hands. Flattening early, or hinging, the left wrist would move the club inside.
The flattening part will happen as part of the transition. As the change of direction occurs, there is force placed on the wrist at the top which dynamically flattens, it need not be a conscious move. |
