Had a follow up lesson with Chuck yesterday at Sugarloaf. Very productive. I feel like my swing is headed in the right direction for the first time in years (maybe ever). I cannot recommend strongly enough getting in-person lessons with Chuck if at all possible. Chuck was able to tell me what i was doing wrong and then actually show me how to do it right (this is apparently an oddity in conventional golf instruction). I cannot count how many instructors have told me to "quit coming over the top", but then been unable to show me how to start down properly.

Also did a club fitting with Chuck and am totally fired up for my new sticks. Cannot wait to try out the new driver.

mph, how many hours in total did you spend with Chuck?

I have 4 hours booked with him in June over a 2 week period. I hope this will be enough to get me back on the right path!

I had a lesson with Chuck 3/18/2010, I thought I was on the right track with the drills BUTTTTT
After about 10 balls Chuck said lets go inside, went over the video he had taken and said your going to have to start from scratch. Went over the rotation drills showing me how to do them correctly, boy I had been doing them wrong and without much purpose.  Since getting home I have done over 600 rep's and boy am I sore.  But the move is getting smoother and more natural.  His says it takes from 3000 to 5000 rep's for a move to become ingrained.  I am sticking with it and have another lesson around May 1st.  I my past I was scratch low round several 64's but never consistent.  I joined the site in January 2010 and had worked on several of the drills but thought that I didn't need the setup or rotation drills but boy was I wrong.  The rotation drill is the core of everything else.  I say all this to say that a in person lesson if possible will be well worth the time & money.  I also had a driver fitting setup but Chuck said we needed to wait on that, so I appreciate him being honest.  I thank for me the hardest thing to understand was the importance of starting at the beginning.  I thank the hardest thing Chuck has to do is figure out how to convey the proper method over the video - I hope that this trek with Christina will help convey the correct method seeing someone actually doing it wrong maybe.

Sorry for all the rambling - But a  in person lesson YOU WANT BE SORRY!

Spuddy, i got a 4 hour lesson from Chuck (my first in-person lesson) back in Feb and then got about three more hours on Wed of this week. He really has me on the right track. I played a round this morning and pounded some drives past where i had ever hit them before on my home course. Four hours should be good to get straightened out. The real difference as i am sure you know is what you do on your own between visits with Chuck. You have got to do your work or the lessons with him will be less productive.

Shocked I had a great weekend @ Chuck & Christina's clinic. For all of you that haven't attended one, I highly recommend you do so. A wealth of understanding as well as laughs, great people with a lighter side which eases the tension. After attending the clinic and spending a couple of hours privately, I have a game plan and look forward to working on it with a new sense of excitement. Can't wait until winter to follow up with Chuck. Thanks for opening my eyes, I now believe in what I'm doing.

Christina, keep that right knee in check! LOL
