Thanks for the tip Mike. I will check that book out. I am just starting to walk normal again, and now I have to start 3 times a week. This all jibes with Alison's exercises also which is nice!

Just wanted to give a quick update. We were forced to move over the Holidays from one house to another one just a mile up the road. Since everything has been packed up I haven't seen a scale for a couple of months. As we unpacked I finally stood on the scale. I lost 20lbs! Haven't been south of 200lbs in a long long time. KettleBells has remained a constant throughout the last few months. I am still getting my a** kicked every time I walk in the place, but I have come to actually like it. Feeling stronger than I can ever remember as I approach 40 years old.
I haven't been playing much golf or practicing due to work and life. I have had a flirtation with Stack and Tiltish thoughts (actually sort of just combinig with good old Rotary Swing 1) with mixed results. This last week I have started back up on the RST roadmap and am finding that it is a little easier when I can locate, feel, activate and or use my glutes. I really think KB's has helped with this. Not sure where the golf swing will end up? Just don't have time for the reps required for RST at the moment. I believe it is the way to go for sure, but sometimes I just want to go play. Either way the swing ends up, I still think this excercise format is a real good fit with Chuck's teachings. |

secondary,
I had a great kettlebell workout with a personal trainer last night.
I've woken up this morning with very sore glutes and obliques!!!

Spud,
I hear you. If I swing my legs over the bed to get up and they DON'T hurt, I feel like something is wrong! The overall strength factor has just been missing and I didn't even know it. If you go back and look at CQ's exercises from the beginning of the website, standing on the ball, jumping on the bench etc, they all would have helped me. Allison gave me great exercises to do last year. Fact of the matter is, I am not very self motivated. I need that class situation and the pressure involved with peers and an instructor to really push myself. Probably explains why RST is taking me so long? Keep at it. All I know was that my goal was to look and feel better at 40 than I did at 30. Right now I feel like I am giving my 20 year old self a good run for the money and it is all because of the KBells. |

Did anyone find any dvds that could be useful in kettlebell training for the golf swing?
