I am a player that shoots in the low 80s. Making some recent changes (incorporating RST principles) I have begun to hit the ball better than ever. I currently play Callaway FTI irons with stock shafts. I have always hit my irons very high. Making the changes my irons are more penetrating but still high. I also want to start working the ball. It is very difficult for me to fade the ball with my irons. To do so I literally have cut the face across the ball and I can never predict how much it will fade and lose too much distance doing it that way. I currently use a hybrid in place of my 3 iron . . . considering doing the same with the 4. So I am looking at 5-PW. That being said . . . since I want lower flight and more control should I consider blades? My iron game is always really good . . .it just gets aggravating wanting to curve a shot and watching it go straight. I guess I am nervous about using them because I am not a scratch handicap. I have shot in the 70s and believe that this year it will happen more frequently since I am making great contact now. If so what type of blades should I consider? Shafts? Has any one tried the Hakusas I saw on here?

Well didn't hear anything. I think I am going to go with the Nike TW blades in pw-8 and the Split Cavity in 7-5. I hit these irons really good. Will probably stay with the Dynamic Gold to keep the flight down.
