Russ,

Check out Dr. Kings's videos.  I have the book he co-authored with Mike Romatowski, the trainer friend.  Their program is Core Performance on steroids.  It is kicking my butt and I have not lifted more than a 15# dumbbell.  Good stuff.  Below is the link for the book also, Ten Weeks to Ultimate Golf Conditioning.

Good stuff, Michael.  Thanks.  I've bookmarked Dr. King's site and will get his book. I can see me using those exercises as part of my warm up routine before playing golf and before working out on the Bio Force machine.   I think one of the things that is slowing my swing down is a  stiff lower back.  I have some arthritis in my lumbar spine.

Okay, so that was the problem. You should have used a regular pro V1 that isn't as firm.

Nah, General, those regular pro V's are marshmallows.  They're for guys with hands of stone and the touch of a blacksmith.  I like the rock-hard V1x.

this is pretty funny.  My daughter, and the guess some day future son-in-law, were home over the weekend and wanted to hit the driving range.  We hit our buckets of balls and they were done before me and were standing behind me watching.  I had four balls left and said, " Let me do my Long Drive , Sean "the beast" Fisher imitation.  I play the ball on my front toe and take some serious spinal tilt to the right to lift the ball.  Of course, I hit  four absolutely nuclear high bombs, deep, seriously deep, and dead straight.  They ask why I don't do that all the time.  Whatever.
