To Chuck or any other club builders out there,

Any opinion as to how the shaft should be aligned after the spine finding (or FLO or Pure) process?  There seems to be different points of view.  SST says the hard side of the shaft should point towards the target (i.e. 9 o'clock).  Some others say that the hard side should be pointed away from the target (i.e. 3 o'clock).  Just wondering if anyone here felt strongly one way or the other.

Thanks,
Housefamous

I'm told by the guy that pures my clubs that they should be in the 9 o'clock position - he has been through Wishons school and several others

IMO:

FLO > Spine.

FLO plane goes to target.

Spine (if there's any appreciable spine - more than 3 cpm) goes on the 12 o'clock side of the FLO plane.

Wishon has a school?

It does make sense that the FLO plane should be towards the target.  I'm curious why the spine should be at 12 o'clock when the FLO is in the 9-3 o'clock plane.  I've heard some say that the spine should be at 6 o'clock in this case in order to minimize the dynamic drooping of the club.
