Shot 78 in 1st round to end up buired in my flight.  I will start tomorrow 4 shots out against some pretty good players.  If I can shoot around par (71) I'll have a chance.

I know someone has to bring up the rear when the field is flighted but, I seem to always be the one that gets buried.

Well, I blew up and shot 82 for a two day total of 160.  Sad thing is that when I posted yesterday I thought that 78 was going to be at the bottom when in fact, 78 led the flight (There were many at 78 and we got flighted together.)

Anyhow, I have a chance to redeem myself in two weeks in the club championship at the other course where I have a membership.

Sounds like you've got a good game, what happened during those rounds to cause those scores?

Well, I didn't get up and down like I ususally do.  I never hit lots of greens but I usually clean up my mess pretty good.  I didn't chip the ball close enough to make par putts.

As I become more "trusting" of the oneplane swing I am sure GIR will increase and two putts for par makes for better scoring than two putts for bogey.

For example, I played 9 holes at this same club today with one of my friends and I shot 37 (par 36) with a birdie and 2 bogeys.  I hit 5 of 9 greens and made most of the par putts that were inside 10 feet.
