Price,

I fully accept your apology in the friendly spirit with which you offered it.

I putt straight back and through just like you do, Price.  But for some reason the heel shafted putter just feels better to me.  I experimented with a friend's center shafted putter (same make as mine) last year for a round, for the exact reasons that you mention.  But for some reason it just didn't feel right.

If I ever get my full-swing issues taken care of, I'll probably start obsessing more about putting and experimenting with different types of putters.  But for now, I'm usually pretty satisfied with that part of my game.

I agree that it is curious that more people don't use a center-shafted putter.

Take care,
ClubCaster

I have an older prototype of this putter and it still has tons of putts left in it.  When they have all been used up, I'll get another one just like it.

I still say go with the Heavy Putter, it makes a good stroke for you. Best peice of equipment in golf, I think. Or, you could just buy balls that track to the hole. I've seen 'em, remote control golf balls

I just figured most golfers used the heel shafted putters for 1 of 2 main reasons 1) pros primarily use H.S. putters, so a lot of amatuers naturally copy that, or 2) long time golfers grew up on ping answer type heel shafted putters and just get comfortable with a certain look.

I liked the heavy putter when I tried it at Golf Galaxy, it really does smooth out the stroke and produce a consistent rythm. I didn't see a C.S model though.

I used to putt with a Rossa Lambeau center shaft putter very similar to the Never compromise putter you use gwlee. I switched to the Rossa mezza monza because the alignment system helps me on short putts, and I think the head is little more resistent to twisting.

I prefer the Rossa mezza monza to the new corza versions being used by most of TM's tour staff (Sergio,K.Perry). The red bars and think white top line make it a sinch to align. The new version doesn't seem as easy to me and you can see the grass through the open putterface which is weird.

I must be some kind of dinasaur who thinks he's a better putter than he is cos I still use an old blade putter that cost me 15 quid!

I found out Heavy putter does have a center shaft model. Saw it at proshopwarehouse.com
