I find your new takeaway video very fascinating. I believe myself to be  a rotary hitter, and want to know if the scapular movement is appropriate for the hitter takeaway as well?   I have been working with the scapular move for a week or so now, and it truly simplifies the takeaway.  The down portion of the scapular movement tends to allow the clubface to open with ease:  Also. for a hitter, should the hands be slightly inside the clubface at the parralel point?

Thank you for your reply: should the clubface be slightly open at that parallel point?

Yes Lynnore, that scapular movement is appropriate for everyone's take away, and once mastered, will just about ensure a perfect backswing position every time.

Thanks Al for your reply, and for your new video. It is great to see that you have a
grasp of how passive arms could be interpreted by some of your followers
as I too made that very mistake for a short period, as I am very literal, and my hands were in casts while I made the turn, and it resulted in that mistaken move.
I am interested in an online lesson, as I want some insight into my swing, and I find that because I am a hitter, the local pros cannot relate entirely. I am female with a 9 cap looking to get more competitive in fact I have a few big tournaments coming up including a  4 day qaulifier. Do I need to book a time with you or Chuck, or do I contact Christina?
Thanks
Lynnore

lynnore,

if you just click on the tab at the top of the page titled instruction, you can navigate your way to the online lesson page.  You will submit videos of your swing, and I will post the lesson on your page when completed.
