We want 2010 to be the year you commit to doing the work and ingraining biomechanically sound movements into your swing!
First, I encourage each of you to post your 2010 golf resolutions / goals below. The research shows that if you don't put your goals down in writing, you probably won't reach them.
Second, track your progress this year by uploading "Before" and "After" swings using our Video Community site. Be certain that when you are uploading you select either the 2010 Before (already exists) or 2010 After (to be added later in the year) category as appropriate.
To upload your videos, visit http://www.rotarygolfswing.com/community/ . If you don't already have an account, you will need to create one (it's free and quick).
One last note...ANYONE WHO HAS POSTED A "2010 BEFORE" SWING BY MARCH 31 WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR A SURPRISE BONUS!!! ![]() Edited by Chuck Quinton - 30 August 2010 at 4:49pm |

I'll start...
My goal for 2010 is to get back the clubhead speed I lost when I went to Hardy's OPS method about 5 years ago. When I used to hit my driver solidly, the ball would go 300+ yards. The past few years, my best drives have been around 270.
(This is kind of cheating because I already did this after taking about a 5-minute lesson with Chuck today using a drill you'll soon learn about!)
And I've already posted my 2010 Before swing. Don't laugh too hard! ![]() |

My 2010 golf resolution is work on my golf swing properly. Slow motion reps gradually working in speed. For 2010 I will only work on shoulder elevation and the transition. I will NOT work on my swing on the range before a round. Practice will be for days I am not playing or after the round. I am commiting to RST and will not look at any other golf instruction or "tip of the day". I will not lose this season to tinkering. Work this offseason and enjoy the season.

I plan on accomplishing all of my goals listed below through continuous drilling and thousands of reps. And above all being patient. I will upload my "before" swing shortly.
Short term goals for the next 3 months before the season starts here in Cleveland:
1. Master the setup.
2. Master the takeaway.
3. Master the 9 to 3 drill.
Long term goals for the entire 2010 season:
1. Stick with the RST.
2. OWN a fundamentally sound golf swing that generally adheres to the fundamentals of the RST.

I've fallen off the drilling wagon - I enjoyed much success in 2009 and when the season ended I not only got off the horse I rode to that success, but I shot it, too.
This is the first winter since I started golfing that I haven't spent much time considering the upcoming season - in other words, I've been OK with the snow. (Perhaps having a snowmachine available to me has something to do with this!)
That said, my goals by the time the season's over in Ontario:
No triple digit scores - ever. Last year I managed 5 scores in the statosphere - including a 112 'season opener' @ SugarLoaf while attending the first RST clinic. The devastating one was in a tournament in July - after popping an even par 36 at the home course 3 weeks earlier. However, you could say that dedication to RST fundamentals paid off as I went from shooting 112 at SugarLoaf to 78 the final day the home course was open. So this year: Nothing bigger than a 99.
Get my average score into the 80s. It's currently at 94. Find a way to drop 5 shots from every round? Considering I average 3.5 penalty strokes per round, it should be easy.
The key to the above will be this:
Learn to play golf
I've played golf swing for years. I've played 'set new distance records for every swing'. I've played 'outdrive, outchip, outputt your fellow competitor'. I've played 'try and hit the green no matter what'.
I need to find a way to play golf. I'm tired of hearing "boy, with a swing like that you'd never think he's on his way to a smoooooth 94."
So I'd say that if I can learn to play golf, my other two goals should take care of themselves. Maybe I should take my 2 hours with Chuck and turn them into a playing lesson!

My resolutions are:
1. to continue to improve by following the program as laid out to me by Chuck and Al through my online and in person lessons (I hope this will be year # 5 I get down there).
2. to continue to completely own mship and Bob34 when we play our "friendly" matches.

My resolution no longer flip the golf club, I'm currently very good at it.
I will do this by improving my transition and preforming the correct movments that are needed to create a forward shaft lean.
I will also try to post a before swing. Al, is it possible for you to help me with this? Earlier this week I booked a couple of hours with you through Christina for the middle of Feb. Can't wait to get to Florida!

Ok, my resolutions:
- Have fun at the course! - Get a repetitive unconscious swing. - Get my index down to 15 (right now 18.3) - Get the camera fixed so I can record my swing for an online lesson. Raul |
