Bingo! This is what clicked with me recently wondering my I had such a flat shoulder turn then I looked at the this picture of TW throughout the years. Look at column the 2nd and 3rd column you it is an up and back motion and he focused on down and back in 1995 his club was deep behind him. |

Mike,
It's a wonderful description. Now I believe myself to do more elevation.
Thank you, Mike.

He's engaged he just has more spinal tilt in 08. I like his 08 swing better. 09 more upright with a flatter shoulder turn which in turn gets the club deeper.

The different I think:
in 08 swing, setup less upright, club's raised earlier in takeaway, less shoulder elevation, shoulder plane is steeper.
09 swing, setup is up right, more shoulder elevation, shoulder plane is flatter, elbow higher but connection is better with torso (shoulder blade is down more than in 08 swing).
But he use much wrist and open the club face too much compare to our RST.

In frame one of 2009, Tiger's arms are out of NJA reaching out at address. This puts him flater at the top. In 2008, he is in NJA with a more upright position at top. His hands are more in front of his body at the top. I agree that 2008 looks to be a better representation of RST.
