Chuck, Al,
Move 2 mentions that shoulder turn 90, hip turn 45 (the shoulder is 45 turn over the hip), but in the end of Move 1 shoulder has turned 45 over the hip already. So the main turning in Move 2 is hip turn 45*.
Because shoulder do not turn over the hip so you do not use oblique muscle anymore (either internal or external) to finish the backswing as mention in videos or in new manual.
The movement by the muscle is "fix one end, pull the other".
My question is which major muscle you use to turn the hip in this Move 2?

sonadt, don't break this apart too literally. The reality is that the hips will have turned minimally in move 1 for most for starters. Most way over do it, that's why we emphasize not turning them. Secondly, you're going to feel that you continue to pull with your obliques and the rear shoulder blade. This is what pulls the hips around as the olbiques tie in at the hip.

Chuck,
Today I have gone to the driving range to test the new stuff related to body motion after I read your manual.
I feel free, "silent" and very comfortable with the "rectangle area" if I keep the shoulder turning only 45* and hip turning 135*. I feel shoulder and arm passive until I do arm-flexing. No tension on any muscle around shoulder and upper arm. I feel no tension on lats as well. It's only oblique-working and tension was there.
About the hip turn 45* back: hip shifts back 1'' at the begining of Move 1, hip turn starts from Move 2, and I use inner thigh muscle of the rear leg to turn hip around the femur until it locks (can not turn anymore). I do not feel the obliques pull the hip.
About the hip turn 90* to impact: just throw the stone
With those movements, I feel the swing is easier and comfortable without tension.
Just one day, and I plan to make 5000 slow rehearse as taught in the level-1 manual
Correct me if smt's wrong.

Shoulders to 45* and hips to 135*?!
What, are you Gumby?

I may go for it or I may not. It all depends on what I elect to do on my backswing.

Sorry,
Firstly you turn hip back 45*, then through 90* to impact, then 45* more to finish.
Shoulder over hip is always 45* back until impact.
